So Sharlie's been saying the last couple of months that we should do a blog, but we have been so busy that we never really got around to it. AND now all of our married friends are starting to get married blogs. So even though it looks like we are only starting this blog to fit in with everyone else, we actually have just been procrastinating for a long time :)
Now that I've cleared that up, I guess I should explain the title of our blog. We were trying to think of something we both love, and the movie the brothers bloom came to mind. At the end there is a touching scene where Adrien Brody and Rachel Weisz are in a beautiful field and she tells him "There's no such thing as an unwritten life. Just a badly written one. You know what we're gonna do? We're gonna live like we're telling the best story in the whole world." So Sharlie and I are going to live our lives (and write this blog) like we're telling the best story in the whole world. It's kind of cheesy, right? But sometimes a little cheese is just what you need (especially when you have box of ritz crackers. mmmm...)
So as for the latest happenings in our life, Sharlie and I just started our first week of school. It's our last year here at BYU. We are both graduating in April! We love it, but school can be pretty tough sometimes. Sharlie is taking evening classes and I am taking day classes, so we hardly ever see each other. And seeing as that we are newlyweds, we are very poor. We are both looking for jobs right now. Fortunately, we are staying with Sharlie's parents for now, which helps us out financially. We owe them big time. I am sure this will come back to haunt us when they can no longer take care of themselves and they need someone to take care of them. (Just kidding Mom and Dad. We are going to love taking care of you when you are old. Just as long as we don't have to change your diapers.)
We have only been married for 8 1/2 months, but we have done a lot. In fact, it's too much to catch you up on all of it right now. But let me just tell you a little bit about our summer.
First, I went to West Virginia to go to my older brother's graduation from med school
